Will Additional Washings Remove The “glow In The Dark” Aspect Of Treating A Stain With Liquid Detergent?

Over the weekend I accompanied my sons to play Glow-In-The-Dark put-put golf. I was pleased how the embroidery on my top was highlighted, but less pleasantly surprised when a coffee stain I treated on my slacks was highlighted with a clear outline where I had poured the liquid detergent.
I understand that the liquids have ingredients intended to “brighten” materials by picking up subtle ultraviolet light and “glowing” in normal light. However, I was annoyed when so much was left in the fabric.
Will additional washings remove the “glowing” remnants? Thanks.
It gave me a great idea for secret messages should I need to send them in the future…that ordinary white Tee could become spy-wear, literally!

How To Remove Hot Chocolate Stain?

Someone spilled hot choclate on my daughter’s jacket at school today. The jacket is 95% cotton, 5% spandex, and is a cream color, but has tan and brown embroidery, so it can’t be bleached. The chocolate stains are in several different places on the jacket.
I pretreated with laundry detergent and washed it, but stains were still quite noticeable. For the past 4 hours it has soaked in water with a full capful of laundry detergent and oxy clean. Stains are somewhat lighter but still noticeable. Any ideas what I can try next?

How Do I Remove Embroidery Without Damaging The Clothing?

It depends. If the embroidery was done by machine, there are probably so many holes in the fabric that even after stitches are removed, you’ll have an outline or shadow where the embroidery used to be.
If you’re lucky and it was a pre-done patch that was just sewn on later, you can get a seam ripper / stitch picker for a couple dollars in any sewing section and get it off in a couple minutes. If it was hand-done, it’ll be fairly easy to remove. If it was sewn directly on by machine, be aware that it may look awful once off, but go ahead and pick the stitches out.
Don’t know of any easier way…sorry.

How Can I Remove An Embroidery Transfer From An Old Linen Tablecloth?

Do you want to take it out completely or just remove the color from it?
To remove completely use a seam ripper and slowly remove all thread but be careful not to rip the linen cloth. Patience a lot of patience then wash the cloth and iron while wet this will close the holes made by the embroidery. You may need to iron it a couple of times use a wet cloth over it if you don’t feel like wetting it again.
if you want to take the color out of it use bleach or iron out. Both should remove the color.
Good Luck!!
